Video upload size limits in 2026
Discord’s File Attachments FAQ says non-Nitro uploads are 20MB as of August 2026, Nitro Basic is 50MB, and Nitro is up to 1GB. WhatsApp’s help center lists 100MB at 720p on faster connections, 64MB at 480p on slower ones, and 2GB for documents. Personal Gmail and Outlook.com list 25MB attachments. Telegram’s FAQ lists 2GB per file, or 4GB with Premium. WeChat, Instagram, TikTok, X, Xiaohongshu and Douyin did not have a consumer file cap we could confirm, so those rows stay unlabeled.
A single page of platform upload limits, checked on 2026-10-10. Figures below come from the vendor’s own help page. Where we could not find one, the row says so and Slimvid does not invent a number.
Compress Video for Discord
Verified on a vendor pageDiscord’s FAQ, updated 30 September 2026, says the free limit is 20MB (since August 2026; it was 10MB before) and that mobile now measures the file before compression. It also says Discord is experimenting, so some accounts may be allowed a larger upload. Nitro is described as up to 1GB, not 500MB.
