We did not find an official Xiaohongshu help page that states one consumer upload cap we can quote. A multi-gigabyte 4K file is still a poor thing to post from a phone, because the upload is slow and the app may recompress it. This page preselects 100MB at a 1080p-friendly budget. 100MB is a practical upload, not a cited official cap
Notes and short videos do not need a camera-original master. A 100MB H.264 file uploads on a normal mobile connection and leaves the app less bitrate to destroy.
We are not claiming Xiaohongshu’s terms say 100MB. If the app accepts more, you can raise the target. If it rejects the file, lower it.
Vertical frames are fine. This tool does not crop. Crop in an editor first if the note needs a different frame.

What fits in 100 MB
Planning estimate from Slimvid’s size formula: 97% of the byte cap, a small audio reserve, then a lower resolution when the video bitrate would look bad. It is not a measured encode of one clip. Motion, codec and audio change the file.
