Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs on your device with the browser’s hardware encoder. Your file never leaves the machine, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.
Why is the file size limit 1GB?
Process videos up to 1GB on your device. Nothing is uploaded. The desktop app is in development. Join the waitlist for launch updates.
Will there be a watermark?
Never. The output is a clean MP4 with no watermark, no branding and no time limit.
How much quality do I lose?
30% and 50% presets are visually near-lossless for most footage. 70% and 90% reduce bitrate and, when needed, resolution; they are ideal for chat apps and email where size matters more than pixel-perfect detail.
Which formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV, depending on the codecs your browser supports. Unsupported files are reported before processing. Compression produces H.264 MP4.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in modern mobile browsers. Phones have less memory, so keep files under a few hundred MB for the smoothest experience.
