Why 100MB, not the official maximum

Instagram’s published caps are generous (Reels can be several gigabytes). Uploading a 2GB 4K file on a phone still fails or gets crushed on the way in.

A 100MB 1080p H.264 file uploads quickly and gives Instagram less reason to hammer the bitrate. Text overlays and product shots stay cleaner.

Stories are usually 60 seconds. Trim first if you are posting a Story; keep the full length for a Reel.
