Why 25MB is the email number

Gmail and Outlook both stop attachments around 25MB. Over that, the message becomes a Drive or OneDrive link that recipients often cannot open.

A slightly smaller file still looks like a normal attachment in the inbox. We aim just under 25MB so mail servers do not bounce it.

Compression stays on this device. You attach the downloaded file yourself, the same way you would attach a PDF.
