Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?
Yes. You choose the width or a standard preset and the height is calculated to preserve the original aspect ratio, rounded to even pixels for codec compatibility.
Will resizing make the file smaller?
Usually a lot. Fewer pixels need fewer bits. Going from 4K to 1080p typically cuts the size by 60–75%.
Can I upscale a video?
You can, but upscaling does not add detail. For most cases we recommend downscaling only.
